Prep A

Prep Students Shine and Mums Get Pampered!

Our hardworking Prep students have been busy in the classroom, enthusiastically learning to read and write their camera words. Their dedication and progress have been truly inspiring!

Meanwhile, last Thursday was all about our wonderful mums at the Annual Prep Pamper Morning. It was a morning of well-deserved indulgence, featuring hair styling, makeup, foot massages, and nail painting. The room was filled with smiles, laughter, and a sense of calm as our mums enjoyed some much-needed relaxation.

Everyone left looking well-rested, radiant, and absolutely beautiful. A big thank you to everyone who helped make the morning so special!

Class 1A

1A has been busy. We enjoyed the Andrew Chinn concert and incorporating the song 'God is Everywhere' into morning prayer. We have been learning the /ie/ phoneme, practising our skills in PE and enjoying our RE lessons with craft.

Class 2A

In Y2A, we have been learning about the planets, and today we created our planets! The children had fun thinking of a name and what features their planets had. In maths, we have been using manipulatives to show how to solve column addition with regrouping.

Class 3A

Friday 9th May, the Year 3 students held a Mother's Day liturgy to honour their mothers and all mother figures. It was delightful to see the children carry out their roles and participate so reverently.

Class 4A

This week, 4A students participated in a beautiful class liturgy that connected with what we’ve been learning in Religion—moral choices and the Ten Commandments.

The liturgy invited students to reflect on how God’s teachings guide the way we treat others and make decisions.

Class 5A

Our class has had a fantastic fortnight! Students have been diving into persuasive texts and debating, confidently sharing their opinions and learning how to back up arguments with strong language features. In Maths, we’re exploring fractions, decimals, and percentages, using real-world examples to make learning meaningful. It’s been great to see everyone participating with enthusiasm and growing in confidence across all areas. Keep up the great work, Year 5!

Class 6A

During the last two weeks, the Year 6 cohort have been developing friendly survey questions and observations about the toilet conditions for gathering data about the school's sometimes messy toilets. We have called this data analysis project ‘Toy-let Story’ to reflect how data can be used to ‘paint a picture’ or rather, ‘tell an accurate story’ to help solve this problem. Students are working in small groups to prepare relevant lines of inquiry, and are currently in the process of collecting data and will be using spreadsheets efficiently to create graphs for assembly presentations. We hope that the process of focusing attention on the state of our toilets and shining a spotlight on any poor behaviour may be a preventative measure and help reinforce our community standards. So watch this (cleaner) space for an update later in the term!
